COVID-19 PROTOCOL AT SALON MARCEL

 Upon arrival:

• You’ll be invited to come to the front of the salon (outside), and the check-in process will consist of taking your temperature (no contact), making sure you’ve filled out the COVID pre-appointment form (and filling it out if you didn’t do so online), making sure your mask is on correctly, and sanitizing your hands.

• All stylists have freshly washed hands and have our temperatures taken daily upon entry, and of course have a mask on.

In the salon:

• The station waiting for you has been completely disinfected, including the client chair, station itself, shampoo station and all tools used.

• Stylists wash hands between and during clients, and change aprons between clients.

• Stylists only work on one client at a time, minimizing the number of people in the salon.

• Client and stylist decide if they are to both shampoo and blow dry. Many decide not to blow dry (blow drying presents the risk of blowing droplets/aerosols around).

• Both doors are open, allowing for a cross-breeze of fresh air.

• Air conditioner is used only if needed, as sometimes it gets way too hot to do without.

End of appointment:

• Checking out, purchasing product, and rebooking are safely done both at the station and the front desk, which is protected by a large plexiglass sheet.

• Only stylists touch product, keeping surface contact very minimal.

• Sanitizer is available.
